Equipment Description

A distillation column is a tower-type vapor-liquid contact device used for distillation. Based on the operating method, it can be divided into continuous distillation columns and batch distillation columns. Two heating options are available for the distillation vessel: external circulation and internal circulation.

Equipment Features

This device is equipped with stainless steel corrugated packing. All parts that come into contact with alcohol, such as the column body, condenser, pressure stabilizing tank, and cooling coils, are made of stainless steel to help prevent contamination of the finished alcohol. The column reboiler uses a detachable U-shaped tube, which facilitates cleaning of the heating outer wall and the inner wall of the distillation vessel.

Use

This device is suitable for alcohol recovery in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, light industry, and chemicals, aiming to reduce production costs and improve economic efficiency. It can distill 30%–50% dilute alcohol to 90%–95%. If a higher alcohol content is required for the finished product, the reflux ratio can be increased, but the output of the finished product will be reduced accordingly. The alcohol content of the discharged residue is ≤ 0.1%. It is a commonly used equipment for alcohol recovery.
